DAKINI —

DAKINI — Positioned on the left leg panel, Dakini is one of the eternal attendants of Maa Chinnamasta. * The Face & The Stream: Tattooed in cold, lunar blues with sweeping almond shaped eyes, her extended tongue drinks directly from the stream descending from Chinnamasta's neck, transforming primal sacrifice into divine sustenance. * The Hibiscus (Jaba): Tucked into her hair is the sacred red/pink hibiscus—in Bengal Shakta tradition, the supreme flower of raw life-force, fire, and unconditional devotion. * The 5 Skulls (Mundamala): Resting beneath her chin are 5 severed skulls, directly evoking the esoteric Pancha Munda (the five skulls of the Tantric seat). In Shakta practice, they symbolize mastery over the five cosmic elements (Pancha Bhutas—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Space) and the complete dissolution of the five gross human senses. Executed in Bongostyle - the expressive energy of rural Bengal folk art into living human anatomy. #Chinnamasta #Dakini #PanchaMunda #Bongostyle #TantricArt BengalFolkArt
