Our Story
TattooNOW began as a partnership. In 1998, Gabe Ripley & Sean O’Hara were building technology for tattooers and studios — the first client websites and hand-built touchscreen kiosks — back when most shops didn’t have an email address. Our earliest client site, darksidetattoo.com, was registered in 1998 — the record is still public.
In 2000 we brought that work together under TattooNOW.com — a directory for collectors trying to find tattoo artists in the early days of the web. Today we’re a working network of 1787+ verified tattoo studios and 1100+ artists, plus the websites, booking tools, marketing, and consulting that keep them running.
Every site in the network is a real working business. Every artist is verified. Every photo is a real piece by a real artist who is taking new clients now.
