A memorial for her mother who grew this type of rose and loved garden gnomes. This gnome is based off of one she sent a photo of. She wanted the gnome to look as though she was taking care of the roses. Once the drawing was done and approved I decided I wanted to play around with in and out of focus elements. She was also fine with that. The out of focus background really helps drive the eyes to the focal point. I really love this piece and the background is a huge reason why I feel it’s successful. One of my favorites. As always done with @fusion_ink and @inkmachines thanks for looking. #cecilporter #fantasytattoo #portlandtattoo #portlandtattooartist #portlandartist
