I have been wanting Salvador Dali's "Ballerina in a Death's Head" for quite sometime but have been unable to find someone to recreate this masterpiece. Does anyone out there know anyone who could do this piece on my left side (under my armpit) approx. 3"x7" big? I am willing to travel anywhere along the west coast to get this but have been unable to locate anyone. I would really apreciate some help in this matter. Thanks.

There are lots of great custom tattoo artists up to the task of a dali tattoo on the west coast from Seattle down to Los Angeles. Anywhere in paticular?
Not really I just want someone that will do quality work for a decent price, see I am new to the Reno area and was told not to trust anyone in Reno to meet my expectations. So really i am looking for a name in particular so that I may contact for further info.
Welp, everyone fantastic is going to charge fantastic prices. If you are traveling to get good work, often artists will go easy on you (knowing you will be spending money on travel and food). They might not, though, your best bet will be to contact a few people. You can check out Mike Devries who is in Los Angeles area and would do a fantastic piece. Other TattooNOW artists who would do a fantastic dali piece and are traveling to the west coast are Jesse Smith and Lisa Schmoldt. Up in Portland OR you have Jeff Tarinelli who used to work at Darkside tattoo back in the fun days and his partner Jason at Oddball Studios. Chris Gay is up in Seattle WA and there are a zillion more great custom tattoo artists, way too many to list.
After you get the fantastic dali piece, you might also want to pick an artist with a cool style and have them so someting custom from their own surreal vision. Lou Jacque, Nick Baxter, Gabriel Cece, Gunnar, and Tom Strom are only a few of the fantastic TattooNOW artists worth traveling to get their original styles. There is some fantastic tattoo talent out there doing original work, and if you are patient enough to travel to get top notch work, then you will have a fantastic selection of great tattoos.
I'd love a dali piece too, ahh, not enough time in the day.
If you haven't been able to find someone yet you might want to come by and look at my stuff. I've been told I can do anything but make good coffee... My biggest question is why the location? The ribs are a hell of a place to be tattooed...Jeani
check out insanetattoos.com and paradoxstudios.com both guy's can do realistic style tattoos.
there's a guy, jason blanco who does my dali's...he's amazing...i haven't been disappointed with him yet...he's done 3 on me, so far, and the ballerina was going to be my next piece i was going to have him do on my spine...
if you'd like, i can send you pictures of his work...
he works out of las vegas between tattoo heaven and diversity on the strip...
Pirate tattoo in Reno is excellent- I believe his name is Jared. But for a piece that's on you for the rest of your life, save the price-shopping for Wal-Mart. This is important, it's not disposable.
ive done the salvador dalis rafaels head exploding i can do anything eric @etattoo.org
Im getting mine done by Alycia at modern body in sacramento, but not till late march. she's done custom m.c. escher's before; blended a couple of them together. An amazing artist.
I cant wait to see how she does mine though, I'll be blending a few dali elements together into an entire leg piece so Im pretty stoked about it.
