So it's no secret to alot of people that last November, I found out just how bad my back is screwed up, it affected my walking and everything else for that matter, and I ended up getting a cortizone shot in January for it. Long story short, I was told I couldn't go back to boxing and heavy excercise was a no-no, for good.
Fast Forward to now. I've gained a lot of weight since tattooing isn't exactly a workout, and I really feel that it is effecting me physically, so I really need to try to shed some lbs. What I'd like to do is have some sort of Weight loss fund raiser to try to encourage me to drop some weight. My plan is at a certain date to take photos of me on a scale showing the current weight and measurements (I'm thinking sometime around mid-late June), working out and eating better, and then 3 months from the start date, taking another photo on the scale to show the pounds lost (hopefully). What I want from you guys is if you would pledge a certain amount per pound lost, whether it's a quarter or a dollar, whatever you can spare. Whatever I accumulate in pledges, I'm going to donate half of it to a local cause that is art related such as supplies for an art department for a school, and the other half is going to go to one of the people who pledged. Thats right, we're going to make this fun. Whoever pledges and guesses the closest amount of lbs lost without going over, wins the other half of the pot. Which means that one of you could in theory could end up with enough money to order a new machine, get some new ink, update your library, take your girlie out on a unforgettable date, whatever.
I myself will most likely pledge $1 per pound to start getting the ball rolling. Anyone interested can email me at [email removed] and I'll make a post about who is participating. I'll set a deadline over the next few days as to when you must let me know if you're going to participate or not and any stipulations involved and soon, it's off to the treadmill. Payment will be money order format due 30 days after the final day of the weightloss program.
Any suggestions between now and then on ideas for this would be great as well.

Good for you Krystof!
I need to do the very same thing, Have some spinal problems myself which have caused my weight gain as well....and money is an absolutely huge motivator for me personally -grins- I think I'd kick some ass if I had that sort of backing looming ahead of me.
Not sure if I'll be able to help or not, Lots of financial turbulence here. But at the very least, I'll be here cheerleading for you!
