In some states, you are able to get tattoos -with parental consent-.
(I may be wrong, but I believe they have to sign a waiver, and be present during the tattooing.)
However.... what you want right now, and what you are going to want when you are two years older vary greatly. You won't be the same person when you are 18, you won't be the same person when you are 22, and so on.
You will most likely hear this over and over again from most of us with ink under the skin. You are better off waiting.... Take those two years to -really- research tattoo, the art, and think about what you want.
Don't just 'settle' for some guy down the street who doesnt care about how old you are, because if he doesnt care about how old you are? Who's to say he cares about keeping his shop (or worse, his kitchen) clean, who's to say he cares about the needle he's using or how he's sterilizing his equipment?
It only takes -one- bad decision to screw yourself up for the rest of your life.
And if you are still gung-ho on getting ink, let alone a playboy bunny symbol..... find a good reputable shop, a CLEAN shop, and be safe.
Thanks Saiyge...All those brains and a hottie TOO!!!..
I've said it a million times along with all the other professional artists out there...good competent tattoo artists just will not tattoo minors PERIOD!!...TAz
And if you wait it out, you'll realize that you dont really even want a Playboy Bunny...
We cant tell you what tattoo is best for you or anything like that but we can tell you that we do a lot of bunny cover-ups. They always seem like such a good idea, especially when you're 16 but personally, i learned how to cover tattoos by doing lots of those.
Doh! Thanks Taz :)
After the day I had at work today, I really don't know how valid either of those compliments are, but I'll thank you all the same :)
I just want to know why?! Tell me without using phrases like, "Because it's cute." or "My friend has one." would you want a God-Forsaken Playboy Bunny? Why would you want to objectifiy yourself at your age with a symbol like that on your body?
I'm sorry. I can't help it. I gotta know too.
I've got two little daughters and man, I have to tell you. I am all about sticking up for the ladies. I mean, regardless of what you think that symbol means, "It's cute" or "It's Sexy" or maybe it makes you feel a little racy, whatever, all that thing really means is " I want you to want to fuck me when you look at me". That's it. It doesn't say "Hey, I'm a real prize that's worth something" or "Hey I want you to want to spend some quality tiime with me" or anything else... especially at 16. All it really says is "look at me as something that will fuck under the right circumstances" which might be a little hennesey, some "Bling" whatever. Basically it doesn't say anything but "This girl will fuck". Okay, so fine. If that's what you are actually TRYING to say, then that's a great way to say it.
But on the other hand, Holy shit ladies!! Female sensuality and sexuality is about the most enthralling and powerful force on the planet. That whole female vibe in general is so powerful and special that it's hooked right into our very fucking programming! All I can say is, with a concept like that, treat it with a little respect! There are so many fucking beautiful designs that you could choose to represent your sensuality, why in the hell would you cheapen it with a tired, overworked cliche like a playboy bunny? I say, pick something feminine, provocative and beautiful... and put it in a place that says "If you did your homework and dilligence and are lucky enough to be looking at this right now, you are the luckiest SOB in the whole world, and you've earned it".
There is nothing wrong at all with women wanting to express their sexuality. I hope that my own daughters grow up to have a wonderful view of their sensuality. I'm just saying, this is some really powerful shit you got ladies! Make us treat it with the reverence that it deserves!
I have never, will never could never understand why any self respecting woman with a working brain would want to have tattooed permanently on her body the symbol for a company that has been exploiting women since its inception....and a symbol for a crotchety old pervert who buys his love(sex) with beautiful women by dangling the carrot of "playboy stardom" in front of the girls who are basically prostituting themselves out to this man and his company...face it....do you really think those beautiful women would be with that old fart if he wasn't the owner of Playboy?....come on!
The playboy bunny does nothing for a girl but cheapens her...its CHEEZY!!! AT BEST!!...TAz
