A certain tattoo (so-called) artist at Wingnut Tattoo in St. Cloud has to be one of the most unprofessional assholes I have ever dealt with. He made what was supposed to be one of the most meaningful things I could ever do, a total disaster. I made an appointment and had to wait 2 weeks to get my tattto. I was so pumped. So the day finallly came, I pulled up and he was smoking outside. When I went into the shop, he said I was too late and he said he gave my appointment away. I was 4 minutes late! He also took my deposit! I asked if this was a policy of theirs and he said "no". I should have expected this to happen being the first time I was in the shop, he was disrespectful to the girl behind the counter as well as myself who was trying to explain the tattoo I wanted. I can handle alot of crap but this does not give me a good impression of the shop for even employing a loser like this. Many people knew I was going there and up until now I have spoke very highly of them. It is unfortunate situation and I would not recommend this shop until it makes this asshole take some classes on customer service!

Hey Sammy...I am so sorry for the shabby way you were treated. This kind of bull gives all the respectable studios a bad name. If anyone in my shop were EVER caught treating someone in the shabby manner in which you were treated they would be fired on the spot...no way will that happen in my place!
I sincerely hope you won't allow this bad experience to put you off tattooing altogether..I assure you that there are a slew of shops out there who would never treat you in this despicable manner. Our policy is such that we wait for 15 minutes before giving away your time slot unless you call and let us know you will be late...now if ya don't bother to call (just common courtesy)we still wait 15 minutes then your appointment as well as your deposit is gone unless you call as soon as possible with a good reason(I know that there are times when something happens and you just cannot call)
So Sammy Sorry again...TAz
Look on the bright side, at least this ahole didn't get anywhere near your skin! No, you don't want to be late, but this guy sounds a bit pent up. I'd say it was $50 well spent. Now you can find someone really awesome.
And when you do, make sure you go back and rub it in his face that you spent x amount of dollars with someone else who just crapped all over his talent with the killer tattoo you now have.
this is the so called a-hole from the previous posting. in defense, i would just like to say that i was in here on my day off to do this young girls tattoo. after waiting fifteen minutes, another girl walked in and informed me that she wanted a tattoo. with no phone call from my previous client, i went ahead and took the latter. while the second girl was off to the atm i decided to have a smoke. that is when the first girl showed up. she was angry, disrespectful and when asked if she had a cell phone she answered "yes". when asked if she had our business card she answered "yes".her excuse was that it was raining. She sent a letter to the owner of this shop with totally different details than described above and i feel that she is incredibly disrespectful of our super hectic schedule and i can only hope that she finds an artist that can fill her enormous needs. signed alan bielawski, wingnut tattoo
Hey Alan from wingnut...I think I owe you an apology...I guess I just took this person at her word and apparently shouldn't have...
I absolutely DETEST people who don't bother to call and expect you to keep the chair open for them and wait til they get their happy asses to your shop whenever they feel like it...I guess they don't stop to think that this is how we make our living and if you work by appointment and they don't show and don't call you have every right to put someone in their spot...those people think the world revolves around them....Fuck em!...TAz
i personally love all the guys at wingnut in st. cloud...i haven't been to the anoka one, but i have an appointment in 2 weeks in st. cloud to get my 2nd tat...i'm super excited
And you SHOULD be excited...I have seen quite a bit of the ink that comes out of wingnut and their work is consistently excellent...TAz
My name is Stacy. I was in Wingnut tattoo to check out Alan"s work last week, since a friend recommended him, and apparently he doesnt work there anymore. Sounds like they fixed the problem Sammy!
I dont know of alan of wingnut but in his defense:
being late is being late. If you were a no-show, the shop would of lost money for waiting around for a girl that MIGHT show up.
yes there is no reason to be rude to a customer, but there is espeically no need to be rude and angry with a person WHO IS GOING TO BE WORKING WITH NEEDLES ON YOU
and p.s.
you have no idea what us people at shops have to deal with somedays
to the person who posted this first- yeah real professional to bring this on a message board. sure not the first time u been called a bitch. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? starting to see why this board is dry....other board is calling.
