Power of Tattoos

Just interested in opinions and other odd facts about , the power of tattoos. You guessed it. Alot of cultures used tattoos to safe guard against demons and the sort. I kinda came upone the subject Reading the AA tattoo thread. The Circle in a Triangle symbol doesn't just belong to AA. Other religions and cultures use the same symbols for various reasons. Does anyone believe that these sort of religious and symbollic tattoos still carry any sort of "magic" I gues? Maybe it's more of a religion questionI suppose. Or any tattoos people have in general do you think they hold power? Just a curiosity thread.

Oh and the power of tattoos to change people , not only the person with the tattoo but the persons who see them. I know of alot of people with parents completely against the art until they see the beauty and the meaning that skin can hold. That's pretty powerful.

There is no doubt in my mind that tattoos will expel and/or attract energy. Imagery in general is a way to channel thoughts around the world, imagery on someones skin intensifies that effect. You should check out Carson Hill's website. he is here now and very in-tune with how energy can be manipulated via tattoos. Nick Baxter is another artist who comes to mind immediately. for me its a shame how many people dont understand this connection, indeed, most of modern american culture doesnt understand energy and spirituality, its almost like the culture intentionally tries to stifle it. I believe every person should really think about the energies they will be channeling with any tattoo in order for the tattoo to have the most impact possible.

I definitely believe that tattoos have a "power" to change people...both the person who has the tattoo and the people who see it. I think this for two reasons...one, it's on a person's body, which will never be the same afterwards therefore changing appearance, appearances change the way you view yourself and how others view you. Two, it's art, all over the world people respond to art in varying degrees, they choose to put images that capture their attention in their home to relay some kind of meaning (whether conscious or not). I think tattoos may be a more powerful form of art than others soley because they literally change the human form. Hell, look at the lizard man! Dana

I think there is power in many things as long as we put the power there from our minds and bodies. I know 'science' refutes this but I personally don't think that science and half it's hypothesis answer everything. I'm one of those weirdo's who thinks gemstones can have a beneficial impact on the human 'aura' (electrical field in my opinion). Craig www.creativecutgems.com
