"Pittsburgh Pump"

I've been listening to some incredible music today and have rediscovered the "Pittsburgh Pump" that have crazy heavy-metal bobbing of the head that happens when the music is just right.... it's not the mullet shake, and it's not the wet towel (you know where you get that long hair swingin' around in a circle, usually with your buddy doing exactly the same thing right next to ya).... No, it's that kinda short, jerky bobbing of the head sometimes on the off beats of the music... the head goes up and down usually not quite fast enough to match the music which is why you get off beat all the time. It's not the head-bang which is usually slower and more calculated with the eyes closed, and saliva dripping out of the mouth. There's certain songs which are just right for it... It also doesn't go very well with the "Crouch and Throw" of the ol' devil horn hand sign, it's very specific. You will automatically do the "Pittsburgh Pump" wether you want to or not if you go listen to "ELECTRIC EYE" by Judas Priest. "You got another thing Coming" by Judas Priest is good for the "Head-Bang", and "Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden is also good for the "Pittsburgh Pump". For the "Wet Towel" you need something like "Pantera", or "Slayer" For the "Mullet Shake" you need like "Train Train" by blackfoot, cause the Mullet Shake has no real rhyme or reason at all, and is usually done with some air guitar by a guy in a flannel shirt with cutoff sleeves. Anyway, go download Electric Eye and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Happened to me in the car yesterday.... Listening to Non Point, "Bullet with a name on it." It tends to sneak up on ya if you aren't paying attention.
I loaded Electric Eye on my myspace profile so you can see what I mean... myspace.com/fatherofroses. Close your eyes and let it flow....
