Organic Style

What's the dea? I see on Transcend's site alot of this style. Why is it called Organic? I can't really tell what half the stuff is suppose to be. I'm not putting down the quality! I just don't get it!

Nick? Could it be because they feauture stuff thats close to earth and to humans. They convey emotions etc (like Carsons work). And humans are part of the earth. Being made mostly of water. So maybe its a state of mind?

If ya don't "get it" by looking at it you never will. Its not supposed to "be" anything...its art...images for image sake...no message just art.

If your asking me to post my portfolio well that is quite impossible, as I am not an artist. I also was in no way was putting this style down! If it is just an image that makes more sense, I imagine the image flows with the shape of the body. I don't get Matisse (I'm sorry for the spelling) , but that does not mean I am putting down his art!

I think that you'll find "Organic" is about TEXTURES -- specifically different magnifications of various plants. Guy Aitchison introduced this to the rapidly expanding field of "Biomechanical". Many textures are lit by multiple lightsources, adding to the three dimensional effect. Combined with the use of positive and negative space, it gives the piece an otherworldly appearance that can easily conform to (and enhance) the muscle groups.
