I recently got my first tattoo and was very happy with the design. I followed what i was told, putting a small amount of lotion on but not too much. Anyway my tattoo has started flaking which my friends say is normal however the the outline and a good amount of the shading is alot lighter than i hoped it would be. Did i do something wrong or is it possible that he just didnt go deep enough or maybe my skin just didnt take the ink well. Im not too worried cuz i can always just touch it up im just wondering why it lightened so much. Any input is appreciated. thanks!

After your tattoo peal a little bit it is normal for it to be a little lighter than when your artist first put ink into your skin. You might want to go back to see your artist and schedual a touch-up. Do you have any pictures of your tattoo? It's kinda hard to get the overall picture with words alone. Sorry it took a day to respond....J
