It looks like the sand art I always see on Discovery Channel... ^o^
here is some more stuff http://vampirefreaks.com/picview.php?pic_id=13295945&user=newfound_life&uid=1280792&title=&c=0&x=17&d=&g=1&s=2&fid=0 http://vampirefreaks.com/picview.php?user=newfound_life&uid=1280792&c=1&x=17&d=0&g=1&s=2&fid=0 http://vampirefreaks.com/picview.php?user=newfound_life&uid=1280792&c=2&x=17&d=0&g=1&s=2&fid=0 also some thought from me: I hate that there are two sites now, now you barley get any comments on here or the other site, it fucking blows
I've gotten fat and lazy and spoiled. why don't you post your images here in the forum?? so we don't have to do that clicky cut and paste thing... and i don't mind that there are less posts. at least they are mostly about tattoos. I can watch gray's anatomy for drama :)
Sorry for the delay in writing, super busy. Im a bit surprised we lost so many regulars, but thats ok, a lot about tattooing is patience and Im sure in time folks will return new ones will participate and we will make it a point to nip drama in the bud a little more. Ok, thoughts... Im not digging the rose too much. I think maybe the background being the same color as the insides of the rose confused me a bit. I do kinda like the texture of the inside. I like the blacks and reds, fun colors. The line drawing of the heart and halo is nice and clean. Obviously Id love to see this colored/finished. Once you have a coupla times, you want to tackle the design again and go fucking nuts (or at least I would want to). Crazy beating heart, barbed wire strangling and digging in throughout the whole design, the wings working furiously against ultimate death. halo dragging the heart into the next world, or maybe its simply welcoming the heart to peace. Work on wyas to get some emotion and motion in the piece. Fairy, cant comment on specifics too much, but taking figure drawing classes as often as possible is a great way to make sure you get hands, faces, proportions down. flower, I like it. I'd like to see some backgorunds that make the piece pop out atcha. I'd love to see a color version of the flower. Hope these comments help. What pieces are you referencing for these pics? Which artists inspire you? Sorry for the delays in response time. Things really are cranking around here and I try my best!
It might be slow but it's alllll tattoo stuff.. Craig
I liked the little tiki god face thing if that's what it was supposed to be idk I like it lol
I cannot draw for shit so i don't want to sound like a jerk but some of the things you posted just seem like sketches/unfinished. Feel like it is hard to give some real criticism of those kinds of works. Flower looks pretty good though.
It seems to me you need to decide if you're doing line drawings or fully-realized sketches. The lily is approaching a completed sketch, the others are not, and perhaps would become line drawings if you worked towards that end. Your drawings look like you have a hard touch, you try to put everything in definitively, there are no subtle aspects to your artwork which leaves it unbalanced. While your grasp of human/female form is improving you need alot more work in that aspect, your proportions in the fairy are off in the legs, arms, and spacing of facial features. The fairy is another drawing that I would lean more towards the line drawing aspect because there is no realistic shading or contouring occuring in any area of the drawing. While the sandy sort of texture in the rose is interesting, you can't surround a colored object with the same colored background. It makes it hard to distinguish what the object is, and it makes the entire composition dull. Also, I would encourage you never to use Microsoft Paint ever again except in passing fun as it doesn't develop too many skills that transfer into professional programs like the Adobe Creative Suite. If you're interested in computer-generated art I would suggest buying one or more of the programs from the Adobe CS, specifcally Photoshop and Illustrator. At one point you needed to know the Adobe and Quark platform to function as a graphic artist, but after a major screw up on Quark's part a couple of years back Adobe is the professional platform for nearly every aspect of graphic design today. You can buy these programs directly from Adobe at adobe.com with a student discount provided you have a student id or different froms of identification. Besides all of that, I would encourage you, as I think many many many other artists have encouraged you to do (repeatedly I might add) to focus on drawing studies of people and objects and light rather than trying to work on specific compositions. Until you do that, you won't noticeably improve your artistic skills at all, and only minimally improve your draughting skills.
here is my latest piece of work, its charchole(sp) I think its my best drawsing yet. comment it 51
