How I earned my wings…
When I was a little girl everyone I was really close to would call me there little angel.
Through life when bad shit happened to me, I always thought of the people around me who called me there angel and would tell my self that “I was earning my wings”.
I felt that something was testing me and would continue to test me until I reach the stage where I would know in life when I have earned my wings.
I won’t go into the ins and out but I have been through some really hard shit in the 20years I have been around. This whole concept of earning my wings, kept me strong and determined.
My stars as I mentioned before symbolise the troubles I have been through and overcome. Anyone who hasn’t read my explanation of my stars it is a pretty basic concept. That the stars that are double lined, I have someone else’s support to help me overcome that trouble, the stars that are bolder than the others were really bad times that lasted longer and took me more time to overcome. However I digress…
Hence at a young age I got my small stars tattooed on me, simple but meaningful. As I knew that one day I would have wings tattooed on my back.
The beginning of this year I had a major car accident. Professionals tell me I shouldn’t still be alive. I was on the motorway(highway) when another car made me swerve to miss her hitting me that my car lost control, went through all the lanes and through the motorway(highway) barrier. I went down at 20ft verge of wooded area. When the ambulance crew got there, they refused to put me in a car ambulance as I was that critical they needed to get me to a hospital fast and with least movement. I had a helicopter land on the motorway (highway) and air lift me down the country to the most suitable hospital to deal with my injuries.
My injuries included broken hip, broken wrist, broken collar bone, and last but not least I broke the first vertebrae in my spine. If that bone moved a millimetre I could be paralysed of dead. The next issue was my brain had swelled up, so they had to put a probe in my head to monitor my brain. This was the most horrific things I have ever been through. I was told I would be in that hospital for 4 months. I got out after 7 days, 4 of them was unconscious in intensive care. I started full time work 2 months after and here I am now 6months later.
After this ordeal I knew that I had earned my wings. If there was something I couldn’t survive then that would have been it, but I did and that’s why I had my Latin writing put on first to mark the achievement. My wings I am still designing and creating and saving for. They will be the one of the most special things in this world to me, apart from Shaun.
That explains how I earned my wings….any questions feel free to email or reply to this. Thought that you guys deserved and explanation.
