ok i am a new tatto artist i started by first drawing tattos and doing traceing but now that i want to learn to use the machine wich i will start by just useing skines i need to know what needles to use i have 12013rs and 12015rl am i right that the rs is for the shader and the rl is for liner

Hey, this isnt the place to talk about the specifics learning to tattoo. check out the few sticky notes at the top and please respect the rules we need to enforce to keep this board free and open to the public. I'd love to check out some of your art, though. which artists are your favorites?

not trying to be mean but if you do not know the differance between a shader and an outliner needle you are not ready to be using machines yet .

why would you even ask such a question, greenhorn?? read other topics before you post! you cannot call yourself a tattoo artist if you're new to tattooing, especially if you've never used a machine before, you have a looong way to go before you can call yourself a tattoo artist. do the right thing, show that you are dedicated to this ancient art form, get expert training, before you undoubtedly will fuck up people. this is not fair to these people, who will be scarred for life! you can also line with shading needles and you can shade with lining needles, to create whatever desired effect you want.. but this will come with the YEARS.. well, atleast you call it a machine, and not a gun, so you're on the right track..
