Daddy Rose has lost his groove...

I don't know if it's just symptomatic of where I'm at right now, or if I've just lost my groove, but lately, I don't feel like I'm capable of dispensing advice to anyone. Everytime I get down on a human level, I just wish I hadn't later... and I feel like a hypocrite trying to pull off this high-road thing when I don't honestly feel like it. Above all, I do not like being a hypocrite, it violates one of my own cardinal rules. So, I'm takin' a break to go play with my kids. Somebody do me a favor. If something comes up that you think I would have liked to comment on, just cut the following phrase, and paste it in my usual spot for me, K? See you guys at Tazfest! Or probably before that, but at any rate, peace, love and most of all, have fun! Compassion is not religious business, it is human business, it is not luxury, it is essential for our own peace and mental stability, it is essential for human survival. This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness. I believe all suffering is caused by ignorance. People inflict pain on others in the selfish pursuit of their happiness or satisfaction. Yet true happiness comes from a sense of peace and contentment, which in turn must be achieved through the cultivation of altruism, of love and compassion, and elimination of ignorance, selfishness, and greed. I am open to the guidance of synchronicity, and do not let expectations hinder my path. I am a simple Dad of Roses. (Originally it said Buddhist Monk, cause the Dalai Lama said it, but hell, ya gotta shoot high, right?"
We are all The Buddha. It's just that we all have different time frames for achieving that state. Don't lose hope...and keep punching (figuratively, that is).
