coverup question

I have a tribal on my ankle that I want to get covered. It is about 15 years old (how the time flies) wasn't the sharpest when first done but has not aged well. How limited are my options? Can a black tribal be covered well? I know many will say go talk to your artist which I plan on I am just curious what some artists on here have to say.

Yep, you pretty much have the right of it. Your best bet is going to your artist. What you COULD do is post a pic of the tattoo in question, that will help, not all black tribals are created equal :)
