becoming a tatoo artist

My name is jasmine, I'm 20 years old, and searching all over charleston for a tattoo shop who would be willing to let me be an appentice there. i've been drawing since i was 3 and I'm really serious not to mention passionate about becoming a tattoo artist myself. They just legalized tattoos here so there arent too many shops here but that dosen't matter because i'd still be willing to work at anyone of them if they'd have me (even if i have to be the "shop-b****"). Whatever it takes to get my goals jumpstarted. Does anyone out their know a shop that might take me or atleast someone who can point me in the right direction. hope someone gets back at me soon, Jasmine

Jasmine have you read the sticky post at the top of this forum?..."so ya want to be a tattoo artist,,,,there is a LOT of valuable info in that post...check it out kiddo!

Also you may want to post some pics or links to pics of your artwork...you just will never get an apprenticeship without a good potfolio...at least not in a good shop.

id love to help ya, but the only tattoo shops i know of in sc are all in myrtle beach.... but there are plenty of them there. lol. maybe you should relocate. i know i had to travel quite a bit for my apprenticship. good luck though.
