I have an aluminum framed machine that was a real clacker when I got it,a new set of springs and tuning settled it down.Aluminum being lighter than typical materials used to build tattoo machines is going to transmit more vibes to the operator. There's different grades of aluminum(softer, harder)I wonder if the lessor/softer grade would soak up more vibes/sound?But again if it's soaking vibes,it's using energy that would be transmitted to the tips of the needles,so you need to turn up the voltage=noise.ramble ramble ramble..............................
Good point... So even though the machine is made from a respectable maker, aluminum is aluminum, it's not engineering, to make it not so loud.
