Figure out what images remind you of your mom. Maybe sit down and talk with her about your tattoo or have her go with you to get it. If you really want her initials, I'd make sure that you have some really orginial images that represent her...this way it will stand apart from just normal name and initial tattoos.
I agree... I would get something that reminds you of her. Something that you will always remember about her or something she really liked. Personal opinion... I wouldn't get her initials, I think you could definitely think of something better and more original. Give yourself some time to think about it. I'm 19 and I actually just got my first tattoo in July for my mom. I had thought about the idea for well over a year and found an artist that would do a kick ass job with what I wanted. I'm extremely happy with the result and I am actually going again in March to the same artist for a tat for my great-grandparents. That would be my other suggestion... If you do come up with an idea you like, don't just pick a tattoo studio and go walk in and have it done. Take time to check out the place and the artist's portfolio. I was on a waiting list for 7 months and it was well worth it. Anyways... good luck to you! Hope you find something cool.
Cillia, great advice. Where did you get your tattoo?
